Introduction to Nightstalker Hunter
Nightstalker is a Void-based subclass and Hunter’s that run this subclass are extremely versatile. Nightstalker Hunter’s are equipped with amazing abilities such as Gambler’s Dodge, Marksman’s Dodge and Snare Bomb. The damage output a Nightstalker Hunter can do is phenomenal, especially when running Shadowshot: Deadfall that suppresses and weakens tethered targets. The Nightstalker Hunter is a great class to play and when equipped with the right gear, abilities, aspects and fragments—the Hunter will be essential to any fireteam.
Overview of Nightstalker Super Abilities
Nightstalker is one of the 4 subclasses of Hunter and it’s based on the Void element. There are 3 Supers that can be run under Nightstalker—Shadowshot: Deadfall, Spectral Blades and Shadowshot: Moebius Quiver. However, since this is a PvE guide, the Super Abilities to use with the Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk would be Deadfall or Moebius Quiver depending on the activity you are doing.
*Spectral Blades and Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk would be best used in PvP.
- Deadfall is primary used in PvE for add clearing as it launches a Void Arrow that tethers enemies to a Void Anchor, slowing, weakening and suppressing them for you and your allies.
- Spectral Blades is primarily used in PvP, summoning two Void blades while remaining invisible until you strike your enemies.
- Moebius Quiver is used for both PvE and PvP, fire two volleys of three Void Arrows that seek nearby targets. Shadowshot makes targets volatile, deals increased damage to tethered targets and once defeated, tethered targets creates Orbs of Power.
Overview of Nightstalker Aspects & Fragments
The best Aspects to use in the Nightstalker Hunter build with Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk would be Vanishing Step, Stylish Executioner or Trapper’s Ambush. Vanishing Step grants invisibility on dodge which is mandatory for this Hunter build. Stylish Executioner is the other go to Aspect because it grants Truesight and Invisibility when defeating a weakened, suppressed or volatile targets, as well as, makes your next melee attack while invisible weakens targets.
Trapper’s Ambush is an alternative Aspect and should be used situational. It can activate Quickfall when spending your melee charge and dive to the ground, creating a smoke cloud on impact, which then dissipates. Targets caught in the cloud are weakened, and allies are made invisible. Your smoke bomb with Trapper’s Ambush aspect also makes nearby allies invisible when it attaches to nearby surfaces or targets and also grants Truesight where you can see enemies behind objects.
The best Fragments to use with Nightstalker Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk build would be Echo of Cessation, Echo of Starvation, Echo of Domineering and Echo of Vigilance. Alternatives would be Echo of Undermining, Echo of Persistence (for longer duration on Void Buffs) and Echo of Harvest.
